Curley's House of Style, Inc.

Since our inception we have fed and clothed over 750,000 needy individuals and families throughout Miami Dade County. We service approximately 1,000 clients weekly by providing them with bulk food products, nutritional health flyers on diabetes, hypertension, colon cancer, prostrate cancer and high blood pressure.

Our staff presently consists solely of community volunteers and partner with the City of Miami Office of Grants Administration, JESCA, Tools for Change, South Florida Workforce, Girl Power, AARP Senior Workforce, and several other local community Community-Based Organizations.

Many of our volunteers have gone on to become gainfully employed as Liberty Tax Services market researchers, a counselor at a group home for abused women; AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers, Cobalt –Ball tax preparers. We have sponsored several food give-a-ways in Overtown, Liberty City, Opa-Locka, Olympic Park Southwest, Caleb Center and Brownsville feeding over 5,000 people at each event.

• 2008 Back to School Blast – Miami Dade County Commissioner Audrey Edmondson distributed over 500 bags of food.

• Helped organize the distribution of 500 turkeys to seniors and needy families in Liberty City Thanksgiving 2005 sponsored by Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones.

• Distributed over 500 pounds bulk chicken products and Beanie Bears Toys donated by the Miami Dolphins, Tyson's Chicken, Tyco Toys during Christmas 2005, 2006 & 2007.

• ACCESS Satellite Site—pre-qualify clients for Food Stamps, Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Programs.

• Distributed 1,000 bulk food products for Seniors Hurricane Preparedness Awareness 2006, 2007 & 2008 sponsored by Commissioner Michelle Spence-Jones.
